The eleventh.....
This week, instead of watching Sunday Morning, two groups presented their own episodes. It was compelling to watch my classmates create their versions of a television show that we all watched during this semester...
Group one's episode contained things mostly about Allegheny College and its unusual combinations. I did, however, disagree with Lexie's segment about Meadville not being just a college town. It seems to be that Allegheny College is the only reason people have even heard of Meadville. And our business is what is keeping this town alive. Or at least in my opinion. Maybe that's kind of stuck up.
Regardless, it was a great way to start the presentations.

I'll just mention that Meadville is known world-wide for its tool and dye industry...used to be the vacation spot for millionaires (hence all the big houses on Diamond Park)...was the home of the zipper...was one of the centers for the Methodist Church...and has a number of great natural preserves (one which has documented bald eagle sitings), biketrails and hiking trails. I agree that Meadville has a very important connection to Allegheny...but there are a lot of other great things happening as well.
