the ninth....
We presented some of our commentaries this week. Molly, Lexie, Will, Ashley, and I all went. I thought it went over well and am happy with the results...
Molly started out with a speech about the bike share program. i have yet to ride a bike and agree in her arguements. i would like to ride a bike before it snows though...
Lexie shared her commentary about smoking. Since my grandmother died of lung cancer when i was younger, i agree with her about not wanting to be near people smoking cigarettes. i also always ask people not to smoke in my car....
Ashley was next with school violence. it was sad to remember virgina tech. one of my friends went there for college this year. it must be awful for him. i guess the only way to prevent it would be by restricting violent images with children and trying to stick up for kids kicking picked on...
I went after Ashley. my speech was about the objectification of women in the media. i was happy with the way i presented it....
Will finished with politics. the presidential election debate is starting way too early. He shared a story about a fellow college student that was running for a student government position and tried to get his vote by agreeing with whatever he said....
i can't wait for the other ones!

I agree that everyone did a good job with the commentaries. It was interesting to see the range of ideas that were shared...I look forward to reading the papers that go with them.
