Welcome! My name is Phil Burdette and I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon Unversity's Heinz College receiving my Masters in Information Systems Management. My undergraduate work was done at Allegheny College where I majored in Computer Science under Dr. Gregory M. Kapfhammer. My research and personal interests lie in the areas of emerging technologies, software testing and analysis, and information privacy & security.
I am currently working as a Research Assistant for Alessandro Acquisti studying the economics of privacy. My main responsibilities consist of utilizing scripting, web scraping tools, statistics, and facial recognition software to assist in research.
In past experience, I was an information technology and systems intern at both Path4 Ventures and Consol Energy. More recently, I interned at PNC Bank in the technology processing and systems department as an enterprise architect performing tools assessment and process management.
