The Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation

The Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation was first established in 1960 with a vision of philanthropy and scholarship. In order to ?put ideals into action,? as is one of its main goals, the Foundation serves as a support system for sisters in times of need, and also provides women with opportunities to engage in global services and to receive monetary scholarship awards.
The Foundation seeks out donors to aid in their mission and is indeed a tax-exempt organization. It awards leadership and education grants for the provision of programs that yield outstanding members. In 1989, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation partnered up with National CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization for volunteers who speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in court. To date, the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation has donated over $769,000 to CASA, and college chapters across the country are consistently involved in volunteer work for the organization.
