entries are not accepted, though simultaneous submissions are so long as you inform
us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
A $5 entry fee covers a one-year subscription and eligibility for our Literary Awards. Please make all checks payable to The Allegheny Review. Pieces submitted without the entry fee are eligible for publication, but they will not be considered for our annual awards. If you are submitting work from more than one genre, please send each submission with a separate entry fee.
All literary work must be submitted in typed hard copy. Artwork should be on disk (Minimum resolution of 300 x 300) or in a format that permits scanning. Please do not send work on a floppy disk. Include a cover letter containing name, address, undergraduate school, attendance year (Fr. So. Jr. Sr.), e-mail address, and telephone number. You may briefly tell us about any pertinent writing experience or previous publications. A short biographical paragraph may also be included.
Send a self-addressed-stamped-envelope with your submission for a response.
All
manuscripts will be recycled unless you request otherwise.
