**Next meeting is Tuesday April 15th at 8:30pm in Carnegie 101. Elections will take place then; all are encouraged to attend!) Excuses should be emailed to Katie (crossk)**

*Roll Call
All members were present with the exception of Rob Abood, Jessica Adamczak, Dawn Beemer, Sharon Bellina, Brandi Carofino, Jennifer Estes, Dana Faux, Rachel Fodi, Allison Fogg, Ric France, Sarah Goetz, Christopher Hanson, Jochen Hutzenlaub, Josh Kendrick, Maria Kennihan, Kristen Khor, Olivia Lobaugh, Katie McCool, Christina McKinnis, Robert Schreiner, Emmalynn Sigrist, and Christopher Whiting.
Excused Absences: Rachel Atchley, Pember Edwards, Natalie Nagy, and Lauren Paladino.

* Induction certificates were handed out tonight. If you were not at the meeting, be sure to come to the next meeting or contact Nicole (tindaln) to get them.

*Faculty meetings count as an outside event (part of your requirements). We need 2 representatives to attend the meetings. They are on certain Thursdays at 12:20-1:20 in Carnegie 100. Nicole Tindall and Anna Creighton signed up to attend Thursday, March 27.

*This Saturday (29th) Psi Chi is co-hosting a late night event to kick off Autism Awareness month. It is in the campus center (room 206) from 10pm-midnight. There will be food, games (including Wii), and gift cards being raffled off. Come have fun (and add another outside event to your chart!). If you are interested in helping Nicole create flyers, meet her in the Carnegie computer lab on Wednesday 26 at 1pm.

*Inductions are scheduled for April 1st at 8:15pm in the Schultz East Alcove. This is in place of our meeting and counts as an outside event. There will be cake! We need someone to be creepy and take random pictures throughout the ceremony. There is a large group of inductees this time- 38 applied and 21 were accepted.

*The display case was updated! However, we need random pictures of students, faculty, labs, classes, etc. to put in it. All pictures can be emailed to Nicole (tindaln) or mailed to box #167.

*Nominations for the next exec board can be made through email (tindaln) until April 14th at 8pm. You can nominate yourself or someone else. Please include a few reasons why you would like the position or ideas you have for the position; whether you have a second choice position (or if there is a position you would not take). An email will be sent out the night of the 14th with all of the nominees and their platforms. You can read them so that you are prepared to vote at the following meeting (Tuesday, April 15th). Positions include:
-President (oversees everything, talks to other groups, works closely with Professor Knupsky, runs meetings),
-Vice President (coordinates service projects i.e. ARC),
-Secretary (keeps track of attendance, enters minutes into the blog),
-Treasurer (deals with checks/reimbursements, works closely with ASG and attends budget hearings). Officers will have plenty of info. to give to the next exec board to make an easy transition.

*There will be a Cognitive group panel on Wednesday, April 9th in Carnegie 212 from 12-1pm. The topic will be post-graduation experiences (applying to programs/being accepted). This counts as an outside event and is open to the campus…so bring a friend!

*We want to participate in Theta’s Jail n Bail on April 16th from 6-11pm in the campus center. Basically we pay $10 for someone to be “arrested” and raise $20 on their behalf to bail them out. Proceeds go to CASA. Please donate money (any amount)! You can send money to box #167 or bring it to inductions.

*A speaker from LECOM on Autism is coming April 17th. This outside event is being co-sponsored with psych club and neuro club. The topic will be neuro-anatomy and brain cell research on autism. The speaker is also interested in getting Allegheny students to intern with him over the summer! More info to come…

*We are going to try to plan a psych picnic at Dr. Cross’s farm later in the semester

*There are grants available for research through the National Psi Chi. Check out their website. Applications are due in October.

*Seniors who are interested in showing off their research…there is a psych conference in Erie on April 26th (Saturday). You must submit an abstract and register if you want to attend. Also, there will be a Psi Chi/Cognitive group Senior Comp Showcase in late April in Schultz. This is a good way to show your comp to the campus! More info to come...
