2004-2005 PROJECTS:

  •     SERVICE PROJECTS:

  •            Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program (CHAPS) is a non-profit mental health consumer organization that strives to support the consumers of mental health services, to encourage and enhance the formation of a consumer self help and support network in Crawford County, and to engage in activities that better the lives of persons with mental illness.  CHAPS is dedicated to 'recovery' from mental illness.  Our local Psi Chi chapter feels that through our involvement we can help those people attempting to recover from the catastrophe of mental illness feel more at home in our community and find ways to leave more fulfilling and satisfying lives through the friendships that are made during our activities.  We as a group would like to thank CHAPS for the wonderful job that they do in providing a unique balance of mental health consumers, professionals, and community members working together for the betterment of the lives of the mentally ill.
