Pride Alliance

Pride Alliance (formerly known as The Committee in Support of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered People or CSGLBT) was formed in 1991 at Allegheny College at the suggestion of Brian McNaught, author of On Being Gay, whose inspiring talk brought a standing ovation from a capacity crowd at Ford Chapel. Pride Alliance consists of students, faculty, staff, and administrators who want to create a positive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people by increasing college-wide understanding and awareness of the needs and issues of people who are sexually diverse.
