WELCOME!

to the home of Allegheny College's student creative writing group

What is Golem?

Golem is a group of creative writers dedicated to improving their writing by critiquing weekly submissions written by fellow students.  We publish a journal of work submitted by the Allegheny community on a semesterly basis.  We also sponsor poetry readings in coordination with the Writers' House in various locales on and around campus.

Where and when do we meet?

Golem's home on campus is the Writers' House, 382 East College Street.  The red one behind the library. Its members currently meet each Wednesday at 6:00.

Who goes to meetings?

Any student who has an interest in creative writing can come to our meetings.  You don't even have to be a member.  Check out our nonmember info page for more details.
