Students in Professor Amara Geffen's Environmental Art class at Allegheny College have spent the semester working on a proposal for the revitalization of Meadville's Shadybrook Park, which is part of the Meadville, PA: Not Your Run of the Mill Community project developed by the college's Center for Economic and Environmental Development (CEED).
The class will share their research and recommendations for these sites, and ask for community feedback and involvement at a community meeting to be held on Thursday, December 6, at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Meadville Area Senior High School. All interested members of the community are invited to attend the meeting and offer ideas, suggestions, and comments. Community recommendations will be used to finalize plans for a Growing Greener grant, which was prioritized by the County Planning Office last year. Read the press release.
