Keep PA Beautiful Sponsors Community Projects in Meadville

CEED was awarded three internships for the summer of 2007 through Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful's (KPB) Core Communities Program. This program provides internships to help beautify Pennsylvania's neighborhoods and encourage individual stewardship. Eleven communities across the state were awarded internships to implement art & greening projects. While KPB funded one intern for each of ten communities, Meadville was awarded three interns for the summer! KPB/CEED interns are working with CEED Director, Professor of Art Amara Geffen, to launch a series of similar projects. The three interns are working on three community-improving projects this summer including two murals and a garden. Read about the projects in the press release.
