Spring Recruitment
In the Spring, a woman in any year of her studies may participate in Formal Recruitment. Formal Recruitment is a week-long recruitment process in which each woman begins by attending parties of every chapter, and gradually reduces the number of parties she attends until she is given a bid to join a chapter. On the first night, each woman is considered a potential new member and will visit every chapter. On the second night, she narrows it down to her four favorite chapters, and the final night, to just two chapters. After attending the events on each day, she will fill out a preference card and rank each chapter. Simultaneously, every chapter composes a list of potential new members they would like to invite to their parties each day. If a match occurs, the women will attend those parties. On Saturday morning, both potential new members and chapters find out where each woman has matched.
