Man of the Year 2012, Forrest Stuckey
Man of the Year
This is Alpha Chi’s biggest philanthropy event. Every fall semester, we hold a “male beauty pageant,” where men compete to be Alpha Chi’s Man of the Year. It includes an interview, pajama-wear, and talent portion. All of the proceeds benefit Meadville Women’s Services. Money is collected by the men through dormstorming, donations, and tabling, and local businesses usually donate, too. This fall, we were able to raise over $2000 for Women’s Services, and it was the best show yet!
Candle Light Vigil
This annual event helps to raise awareness about domestic violence on campus. We invite the campuscommunity to hear domestic violence survivors speakĀ about their experiences, and it results in a very powerful and informative event.

Relay for Life
Almost our whole chapter participates in this yearly event to raise cancer awareness on campus and in the community. We have teams of sisters raise money and then do a “walk” for cancer that concludes with a candlelight vigil. We also set up a booth on site to help raise money for the organization.

Alpha Chis at Make a Difference Day
Make a Difference Day
This is Meadville’s community-wide event in which members of the local community, as well as our sorority, help out with different projects around the area. Projects include raking leaves, planting, painting, and otherwise helping out anyone in the area who needs assistance. So many sisters volunteer that we usually have around five different Alpha Chi groups, and this event really
brings the sisters closer together.
Juniper Village
Every Sunday sisters leave campus and head to Juniper Village, an elder care facility. The sisters play bingo, paint nails, and make crafts with the residents.
Humane Society
We have sisters go to the Humane Society weekly to play with the animals and show them the love and care they deserve.
Highway Cleanup
Every spring semester, we clear our two-mile section of I-79 of trash and other debris.
Service Mixers

Alpha Chis with some brothers of Delta Tau Delta
We often join together with other fraternities or sororities for different service projects. This is fun for all because we get to socialize while providing service for others! For example, last semester we teamed up with the brothers of Delta Tau Delta to help Fresh From the Vines Farm, a local food organization, plant garlic bulbs. They said they couldn’t have done it without us!
