It has been a great semester for Delta, but it is coming to a close. Most sisters are still on campus taking finals until December 21, 2011 but some of us were lucky to escape early!

In November, Delta held our annual candlelight vigil. The event was headed by Lisa Roane and there was a great turn out by greek life, campus life, and community members. This year we were lucky enough to have five speakers, two  were domestic violence survivors and three were women’s shelter workers.

Leading up to the vigil we organized several fundraising events for women services. We had a car wash, a bake sale, and a Pizza Hut fundraiser, where sisters worked as waitresses for a night! Finally, in December we had our annual “Man of the Year”, male beauty pageant. This year we had thirteen competitors with a wide variety of talents and skills. Our winner was senior, Leo Leonel. Overall the chapter has raised over $2,000 for Women’s Services of Meadville.

We also had several other fun events this semester, from dad’s bowling, to pumpkin carving, and formal!
