Allegheny College Paintball

The Allegheny Paintball Club is excited to travel to several different courses this fall and next spring. The group practices regularly and has a solid foundation of new members. During the winter months, the club is able to keeps their skills in-check using reballs in the Wise Center racquetball courts. This club offers a variety of exciting opportunities for students who have a passion for paintball.

What is Paintball?

Paintball is one of America’s fastest growing sports. It’s a game of strategy patterned after our favorite childhood games – Hide and Seek, Capture the Flag, Cowboys and Indians – all in one. Each player is equipped with a paintball marker (air powered gun) designed to fire paintballs which mark the target on impact. Paintball give players a chance to test their individual skills and tactics and also stresses teamwork, communication and friendly competition.

What are paintballs?

Paintballs are soft gelatin capsules similar to vitamin capsules filled with a non-toxic, non-caustic, non-flammable, water-soluble and biodegradable color dye.

Who plays paintball?

Men and women of all ages play paintball. (Minors with parental consent only). Strategy and teamwork is more significant than strength and stamina. Players include professionals, students, church groups and law enforcement personnel to name a few.
