How Love INC Works

By joining together in a Love INC Church Services Network, churches and agencies cooperate to provide effective help to those in need in Crawford County. The Love INC community clearinghouse ensures efficiency, reduces duplication and promotes participation.

Love INC is the management, mobilization, and networking tool for church ministry that allows each partner congregation to support the services it offers to the community and link with others when the crisis is too big or complex to handle alone. This means people receive the help they need to help themselves.

The Love INC clearinghouse model deploys and trains largely untapped volunteer resources from Crawford County churches and provides self-help skills to chronic dependents. As a clearinghouse by offering no direct or on site services. All requests are referred to the sources of help.

Step One:
REQUESTS FOR HELP: People who need food, clothing, shelter, budgeting assistance, counseling and family help are referred to the Love INC clearinghouse by churches and agencies.

Step Two:
ANALYZING NEEDS: Love INC works cooperatively with helping agencies to analyze the need, screening the nature and extent of need.

Step Three:
THE HELPING CHURCH: Requests for services that are not available at local agencies are referred to a Love INC church contact person. Love INC trains the church contact person to identify the volunteer and material resources in their church.

Step Four:
FOLLOWING UP: The Love INC clearinghouse follows up with both the church volunteer and the person or family in need, to make certain that the helping experience fully achieved its goal.
