Minor Study Plan
General Principles and Requirements:
- A Black Studies minor requires 20 credits for completion.
- All Black Studies minors must take INTDS 210 "Introduction to Black Studies".
- All Black Studies minors who declare the minor after September 2008 must take either History 234 or 236.
- At least two of the five courses must be 300 level or above.
- If Black Studies is your graduation minor, then you must take at least 12 of the 20 credits in a division that is outside the division of your major. (INTDS 210 or 320 may count as either Humanities or Social Science.)
The following study plans are samples designed to meet the distributional requirement described in the last bullet above. Course offerings will change from year to year, so interested students should consult with the program co-ordinator. Students should also be aware that particular courses may have pre-requisities that need to be met.
