In 1939, Ida Tarbell gave to Allegheny College her research materials related to Abraham Lincoln. After her death, Sarah Tarbell, Ida's sister, gave to Allegheny College, Tarbell's papers along with her personal library. Papers relating to the work on the Standard Oil Company were to given to the Drake Well Museum. There is approximately 40 linear feet of documents. Arrangement Series I: Correspondence. Alphabetically arranged by individual, corporation or organization. Series II: Writings and Topics Series III: Autobiography: Working notes, Series IV: Abraham Lincoln Photographs: Mostly prints of Ida M. Tarbell, 1900 - 1940. Noteables: Portrait in graphite by Cecilia Beaux; Photographs by Jessie Tarbox Beale; watercolour portrait by Foudar Zakhazar. Papers were microfilmed in 2001-2002 with the assistance of a grant from PHMC.
