Costa Rica Life

Yesterday was the first day with my host family. It was quite a drastic change from what I have been doing in Costa Rica. I was mostly surrounded by fellow North American students until now. Communication was interesting, since I speak no spanish and they speak no english. There were lots of gestures, smiles, and one word sentences on my half. So, I havent really shared too much of my culture with them as they have to me quite yet. Everyone here is really friendly, patient, and warm hearted. You learn to live with little and are happy with what you have. It is crazy to compare what the average North American family has compared to a tico family...very different lifestyles. Things here are relaxed and simple. PURA VIDA!
