| Scientific/Historical Traveling in London, Bath, the Cotswalds, and Southern Ireland This trip includes visits to the Royal Society and Westminster Abbey in London. We tracked down the graves and memorials to many of the scientists honored in Westminster Abbey. We also visited the site of Robert Boyle's phosphorus factory in Covent Garden. In Bath, the Roman baths have chemistry connections that are fun to contemplate. In Lismore we visted the birthplace of Robert Boyle and The Robert Boyle Science Room in the Heritage Center. In Youghal we visited St. Mary's Church, site of a memorial to Richard Boyle, Robert's father and the 1st Earl of Cork. |
