Grading Rubrics

Grading rubrics can be handed out at the time an assignment is given to help students better understand how their paper will be evaluated. In addition, they then save time when a faculty member is grading and help a faculty member stay consistent in his/her grading. Since different kinds of writing are required on different occasions and since first-year students are new to many academic protocols, rubrics can be a helpful tool to orient students to college expectations.

Feel free to use any of the grading rubrics posted here or to modify them to better fit your criteria.
