Tips on Writing for First and Second Year Students

Schedule an appointment with a writing center consultant (link) or just drop by the Writing Center. Get your money's worth at Allegheny: it doesn't cost you anything to have an appointment with a writing center consultant. A writing consultant will be happy to meet with you one-on-one, read a draft of your paper, and talk with you about any writing related concerns you may have.

Sign up for a matched writing consultant (link to form currently on the first page of the writing center website). This consultant will meet with you each week at a time that works for both of you to help you improve your writing.
