"It's a good idea but it's just not working. It's like he's trying to fit everyone in the same mold and as a result you end up leaving more children behind. It also takes away a teacher's flexibility."
- Professor Mark LaPoint of Allegheny College

"I think it's a good idea but the way he's trying to accomplish it is wrong. Yes math and knowing how to read are important but there's more to education then that. He fails to realize everyone cannot learn at the same pace. When you apply to colleges the SATs (which focuses on math and reading) is just a small part. The colleges ask for extra curricular activities, both scholastic and recreational. They want to know what have you done (or still doing for some cases) for your community. Businesses today look for well-rounded and innovative people just as much as they look for someone who knows what is 1+1."
- Dayna Wesley, Freshmen of Allegheny College
