Registration Information for Spring, 2010

Course overloads. Preregistration is limited to 18 semester credit hours. You may add additional courses during the All-College Change Period (Dec. 7-16) or after the Spring semester begins. Please note that registering for 21 or more credits requires permission from your advisor on the Overload Approval Form. To register for 22 or more credits, you must also meet with the Registrar and obtain her permission - please contact the Registrar's Office to make an appointment if you are considering registering for more than 21 credits.

Pre-registration for Spring, 2010 will be on-line using WebAdvisor. You must have your advisor's approval to register.

Please read How to Register with WebAdvisor before you register.

Your registration class is determined by the number of credits you have completed and the number of credits you are currrently registered for. Your registration class may not be the same as the class you normally identify with. For example, this may be your second year at Allegheny and you may think of yourself as a "sophomore," but it you have enough credits you would register as a Junior. Please check the "My profile" WebAdvisor screen to determine your registration class, registration letter group, and to verify that you have been approved by your advisor to register.

Registration Schedule

Seniors November 2-6
Juniors November 9-13
Sophomores November 16-20
Freshmen November 30 - December 4

The registration order is H, G, A, B, C, D, E, F. See below for details.

Each semester, the last two groups will move to the front of the list, in reverse order. For example, the registration order for Fall 2010 will be F, E, H, G, A, B, C, D. The following semester (Spring '11) it will be D, C, F, E, H, G, A, B. Using this procedure, each letter group will occupy each position in the list over an eight semester period and no group will be "near the end" two semesters in a row.
