PsycINFO is a web based database of the psychological literature. It contains citations and summarizes of journal articles, books, and book chapters in the fields of psychology and related disciplines.  Since PsycINFO is web based, it is available from every computer on campus. (Check the library's home page for information on using this resource from off campus.)

The database is comprised of records, one for each article, book, or book chapter.  Each record consists of a number of fields containing specific types of information.  For example, there are separate fields for authors' names and date of publication. PsycINFO allows you to search to find references about a particular topic or by some combination of topics in one or more fields.
