If you know the term you want to use in your search, just type the word in the box and click Search. For example, if you wanted to find some material on "reinforcement," just type the word reinforcement in the window next to Find and click the Search button.
Since you did not indicate where the search should be done, the computer looked for the word "reinforcement" anywhere in the record, the title, the abstract, etc. This type of search is called a "free text" search and although it may be good at locating material on uncommon topics, it will often result in far too many "hits," many (or most) of which are not really related to the topic. If your search produces too many hits, try limiting it by topic or using just specific fields. To get a hard copy of your results, check Printing the Results. Back to PsycINFO database main page
