Allegheny Geology Field Trip

Northwestern Pennsylvania

Students have many afternoon field trip oppurtunities as part of the lab components of geology courses. These field trips include examining the stratigraphy and fossils of sedimentary rocks that form the Appalachian Plateau, glacial deposits that were formed during the last ice age, watershed systems, and coastal processes along Lake Erie.
