“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it.”
-Psalm 24:1

Creator God, we praise your name, who framed the world on high.
From everlasting you are God; you set in place the sky,
Arranged the stars in swirling space – the sun, the moon in proper place,
Then looked upon it all as good, blessed wonder of your grace.

Creator God, we praise your name, who formed the morning light,
Then separated it from dark and called it day and night.
You gave us work and daily rest, and with your goodness to be blessed
To daily now your wonders see and in your presence be.

Creator God, we praise your name, for creatures large and small.
You gave them wisdom to succeed, and all else that they need,
Then blessed them with your spoken word, in voice of love forever heard:
“Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth with every kind.”

Creator God, we praise your name, who in your likeness formed
All people that on earth do dwell – they do your glory tell.
You charged us for the earth to care – for land, the sea, and open air,
To love and honor all your works in peace with tender care.
