Start with Chris Jordan's photographs of Intolerable Beauty.  Linger over them and ponder the power of the arts to transform environmental perceptions. 

Compare the next two sites and decide if you are optimistic, pessimistic, or not sure.  Do you agree this is an "Extraordinary Moment," or do you believe that in every age people believe they live in an "extraordinary moment?"
