Program Description The Journalism Track offers practical experience through courses, internships, and work on The Campus, Allegheny's weekly student newspaper. An introductory journalism course covers a range of fundamentals, with emphasis on reporting and writing stories suitable for publication in The Campus. The class prepares students for entry-level work in journalism or a related field. An advanced seminar, which shifts topic from year to year, focuses on a specific area of journalism, such as feature writing or investigative reporting. Course Requirements for the Journalism Writing Track include all of the standard requirements for the English major, plus the following (courses may double count when appropriate):
