Allegheny College Art Department faculty member Sue Buck.
I am an experienced artist/teacher who has taught art for over 20 years in Maryland, Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, and now Pennsylvania. My own work lies in the fields of drawing and printmaking as the examples of recent work here shows. The courses I teach include Basic Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Figure Drawing, and Printmaking which includes courses in relief, intaglio, and lithography. I also teach Introduction to Studio, Junior Seminar, Senior Seminar, and Freshman/Sophomore Seminars. This is my seventh year at Allegheny and probably the most important thing I could say here or elsewhere is that I love my students. They work very hard. The students here seem to enjoy challenges and I am happy to provide them. I believe that students see me as a demanding professor, but I have their respect and they, mine.
If anyone should be reading this as a prospective, please feel free to email me <sbuck@alleg.edu> to ask any questions you would like. You are always welcome to stop by for a visit.
